Introduction:
The 1960's and 1970's were extremely influential to our nation's history. Over the course of 20 years our nation struggled with internal and external issues that threatened to tear down the social fabric of our country. As students of history it is our job to realize the monumental changes that occurred and the extraordinary challenges that were overcome, in order to understand how our nation still remains so great.
Your Task:
You will be given the task to create a website which will inform people about your topic relating to the 60's and 70's. In addition to the website you will also create a worksheet and quiz related to your topic. These documents will be uploaded to your website as files in order to be used as instructional tools. You will work in groups of 2 or 3 for this assignment. You will be given ample class time to work on this assignment, however if you cannot finish in the time allotted you will have to work outside of class. This assignment will be accepted no later than April 16, 2012.
Procedure:
Your website must include the following information about your topic:
Your Worksheet must contain the following, but is not limited to: (must be uploaded to your website)
Your Quiz must contain the following, but is not limited to: (must be uploaded to your website)
- History of your topic/ or background of your individual
- Description of what was going on in the United States at the time of your event (politically, socially, etc)
- Description of event(s) and/or your person's role in an event
- Impact your event or person had on society
- The legacy your event/person left for future generations
Your Worksheet must contain the following, but is not limited to: (must be uploaded to your website)
- Questions relating to the historical background of event or person
- Identification questions relating to people or places important to your topic
- Questions regarding the key elements of your event/person
- Questions regarding the lasting impact and legacy of your topic.
Your Quiz must contain the following, but is not limited to: (must be uploaded to your website)
- at least 10 questions
- One question must be short answer
- All answers must be found within the website
- All questions need to be related to your specific topic
